A split plastic block will be inserted into the front wheel to serve as a solid bearing for the steel axle.

Here we see the front wheel assembly and one of the forks. This view is looking up from the ground.

The inset of this photo shows the two halves of the plastic block being fitted with screws.

The split plastic blocks are being positioned for the rear axle assembly.

Randy Rowland checks to make sure the rear wheels have enough clearance.

This set of loose plastic rings will serve as a bearing for the steering column.
