Kicklighter, C.E., Architecture Residential Drawing and Design
Instructor: Professor James Braukmann, Cheney Hall Room 200E, Phone 2437.

Overview of Assignments:

Each student will design a unique residential or similar structure and prepare a set of 17" by 22" drawings to describe the structure. These drawings include the house plan, floor plan, plot plan, joist plan, foundation plan, wall section details, two external elevations, plumbing plan, and wiring plan. Major plans are brought into class before completion for scheduled pre-evaluation and suggested improvements by the instructor. The drawings are to be completed at home or at a CAD laboratory. Computer-assisted drawings may be plotted at 11" x 17".

Policies: (Braukmann)

This is a "production" oriented course. Deadlines are critical in business and industry. Late assign-ments will receive a 10% grade reduction. Assignments will not be accepted if more than one week late. If you foresee missing an assignment due date, or even a late date, contact the instructor before that date for other possible arrangements. All work handed in should be of professional presentation quality.
